I have been to the doctor this week and our little one in the womb seems to be doing well. The doctor did an ultrasound and the little baby measures older than the doctor has calculated at first. This means that the due date could be sooner than we thought. But that's OK with me. As long as the baby comes in it's proper time and when it is ready. My lab work was fine as well. The doctor insisted we do some blood tests for genetic anomalies. I didn't want at first, but since the blood tests do not involve any risk to me or baby I did consent to this. I told right away though that I would never consent to a amnio, even if the tests woudl indicate something. Thankfully all the tests came back today and show me at very low risk for any anomalies, so the doctor is happy and is not pushing for any further testing. We would take any baby from God, no matter what the outcome, but we do praise that so far this little person seems to be healthy and growing well.
I am feeling still a bit queezy at times and exhausted. But of course I am also working more than usual with all the sorting, decluttering, packing, deciding what pack for long-term and what we will need over the next few month in our temporary housing. I have started having some trouble with a varicose vein, so I should be putting up my legs more often. I am trying to pace myself and not overdo it. I am starting to put away my regular skirts and need to make a few more maternity tops for this summer before packing up all my sewing. I'll post a few pictures from our packing when I get the time =).
