I know I promised to start posting more, but somehow I never get to it, LOL. The truth is I have been truly enjoying the summer vacation! This year, since Abigail is still pretty small, I have not had any responbilities in the camp ministry and that has given me lots of stress-free time. My children have been in and out of the home and there are NO schedules to keep, yeah. My oldest is spending the whole summer in N. Ireland with my sister, babysitting her litlte one year old cousin. We miss her a lot, but are glad she is getting such a great chance to see many things and be of service to her aunt. The younger children have all been to camps this summer. DH was a leader at two camps as well, so we spent two weeks without daddy. The children also spent some time with both set of grandparents, so I always have to check which ones are supposed to be home, before I panic that someone's missing, LOL. There were a few days that there were only three of us at home - something that rarely happens in this large family. The only little person who is always with me is little Abigail and she is such a cutie. But she is keeping me on my toes constantly, as she is very mobile and a climber! We even had to move her into a toddler bed two days ago, because she fell out of her crib! I never had to move a child from a crib at this early age! She is still very tiny, but smart and quick. She is such a joy to all of us, although we keeps us constantly busy.
Since I have had more time on my hand than usual, I have been enjoying digital scrapping more than in a very long time. I will not post all the layouts here, but you can check out my gallery . Here is just a sampling:
I haven't done almost any sewing though. I am working on a blouse muslin for myself, but somehow got stuck and lost my motivation. I really need to get myself into the sewing nook and make a few more summer tops for August. I am soooo thankful for the air-conditioner we have in the living room as it cools down most of the house. It's so hot outside. I am also very very happy that we finally have a wireless router and I can take my laptop anywhere in the house and still be connected to the internet! I am learning to slow down and enjoy little things and most of all enjoy the free time with my children before school starts again. I wish you all a wonderful reminder of this summer!
